Composite materials based on the titanium diboride. pp. 23-27
Summary: The composite materials based on the titanium diboride were synthesized. The melted solid solution samples of the Ti1-xMoxB2 and Ti1-xCrxB2 compounds (x = 0.1) microhardness is ~ 4600-5600 kgf/mm2. On solid solutions based on the titanium diboride in 700-1050 K temperature range the spin transition effect with the magnetic susceptibility sign changing is revealed.

Induction of buckwheat parthenocarpy by activation tagging using CaMV 35S promoter. pp. 28-32
Summary: Activation tagging by CaMV 35S promoter transcribing outward right bourder of T-DNA was investigated. Increased rate of pericarps formation by transformant was observed. Progeny of the transformant inherit this mutation as dominant and co-segregating with T-DNA. It was supposed that action of CaMV 35S promoter of T-DNA insertion induced the parthenocarpy of buckwheat transformant.

Features of the phenology of seasonal development of the highbush blueberry at introduction in south and central parts of the Belarusian Polesye. pp. 33-39
Summary: The results of investigation of a phenology of seasonal development early-ripe, middle-ripe and last-ripe grades of a highbush blueberry in conditions of the Belarusian Polesye is given. It is shown that the amount of heat which is necessary for approach of the phenological stages connected to development of vegetative sphere of plants of a highbush blueberry, characterized by more expressed variability on years, in comparison with those required for development of their generative sphere. For duration of the majority of phenological stages and the seasons previous to their approach from the beginning of vegetation, the expressed varietal and interregional differences have been fixed.

Xylotrophic basidiomycete Pleurotus ostreatus (Jacq.: Fr.) Kumm - a producer of biologically active substances. pp. 40-49
Summary: The biochemical composition of 4 strains of Pleurotus ostreatus submerged mycelium and fruit bodies was studied. It was revealed that the quantity of biologically active substances in submerged mycelium does not yield to fruit bodies. In submerged mycelium protein content reached 32.0-35.0%, lipids - 7.0-8.0%. The sum of saturated fat acids was 15.2-20.8%, unsaturated - 79.2-84.8%, linolic acid (C18:2) fraction - 58.0-65.0%. In fruit bodies protein content made 20.0-26.0%, lipids - 4.2-5.7%. The sum of saturated fat acids was 20.4-31.1%, unsaturated - 69.0-79.6%, linolic acid fraction - 52.0-62.0%. The total carbohydrate content in fruit bodies in comparison with mycelium was higher (60.8-62.0% and 52.1-56.8%, respectively). The carbohydrates in the fruit bodies and mycelium were represented by water, acid, two alkaline fractions, free polysaccharides and chitin. The amount of free water-soluble polysaccharides in mycelium was 2 times higher than in fruit bodies (8.5-9.0% and 4.2-4.5%, respectively). P. ostreatus synthesized 5.0-6.0 g/l exopolysaccharides under submerged conditions. An assay of the carbohydrate composition of intracellular and extracellular polysaccharides of mycelium demonstrated the presence of glucose, galactose and mannose in them. In addition to these monomers, in polysaccharides of fruit bodies arabinose and xylose were found. The submerged mycelium differed from the fruit bodies higher antioxidative activity, the phenolic fraction had its the greatest level.

Amine and triphenylphospine salts of 4,5-dichloroisothiazole-3-carboxylic acid. pp. 50-53
Summary: The corresponding amine and triphenylphosphine salts of 4,5-dichloroisithiazole carboxylic acid were obtained with preparative yields by the interaction of 4,5-dichloroisithiazole carboxylic acid with aliphatic, aromatic, heterocyclic amines, amino acids and triphenylphosphine.

Photonic crystal heterostructures on semiconductor doping superlattices. pp. 54-75
Summary: Conception of the development of novel optoelectronic elements with the controlled band spectrum and spatial distribution of the component composition and doping impurities is approved. It is suggested to combine widen possibilities of controlling the optical properties of semiconductor doping superlattices (dispersion, spectrum of luminescence, gain, and absorption) and properties of photonic crystals to concentrate energy of electromagnetic radiation in space and time for enhancing the nonlinear optical response of the heterostructures. Proposed approach can be attractive for the development of novel semiconductor elements (optical switches, single-mode microlasers and amplifiers, multiplexes, compressors of light pulses and transformers of frequency) and design on this base of devices for optical processing of information and of elements for communication systems, in particular, for purposes of information technologies with high condensed channels.
