Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko held formal talks with Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Minsk on 1 August. The heads of state discussed bilateral cooperation in economic relations, the implementation of joint projects in engineering, light industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, transport and high technologies.
Following the talks, a package of documents on cooperation between the two countries was signed by relevant ministries and departments in various fields. In particular, Chairman of the NASB Presidium Vladimir Gusakov and Minister of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan Ibrohim Abdurakhmanov signed an interdepartmental memorandum of understanding and cooperation in science and technology.
