The Prizes of the Academies of Sciences of Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova
With the purpose to activize the cooperation between the scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine the Presidents of these Academies at meeting on May 4, 1994 in Kishinev, the capital city of Moldova, have accepted the decision on establishment of the Prizes of the Presidents of Academies of Sciences of Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine (PASBMU) awarding for best scientific achievements received during joint research. Two such Prizes are annually awarded in the field of natural and engineering sciences, and one Prize in the field of the humanities and social sciences. The joint collectives of the authors working in the Academies of Sciences of these three countries can take part in competition of the Prize.

The Prize named after Academician V.A.Koptyug awarding the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences
The Prize named after the outstanding scientist, Academician, Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the Siberian Branch of this Academy, Foreign Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Valentin A. Koptyug is established on June 25, 1998 in Novosibirsk (Russia) by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences. The Prize is established with the purpose of encouragement of the researchers of the Republic of Belarus and Russian Federation for achievement of outstanding results with performance of joint scientific research within the framework of the interstate programs, and also for the joint works, scientific discoveries and inventions important for a science and practice. It is awarded for the best joint work, discoveries or invention, and also for a series of joint scientific works on uniform subjects having large scientific or practical importance executed within the framework of priority directions approved by the Agreement on Scientific Cooperation Between NASB and SB RAS. For joint works executed beyond the framework of this agreement the Prize is awarded in exclusive cases only. The Prize is awarded annually, since 1999, by the Presidiums of NASB and SB RAS serially.
