In order to stimulate and encourage organizations and employees of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for outstanding performance in research, scientific-technical and innovative activities, the Honor Board of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus was established by decision of the Bureau of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus No.596 of December 17, 2010.

Regulations on the Honor Board of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus found that it may be introduced to the Honor Board the organization, reaching the highest rates in research, scientific-technical and innovative, production, social work for the year. Mandatory conditions of introduce organizations to the Board of Honour are ensuring high rates of labor and executive discipline, health and safety, including the lack of accidents resulting in death or led to disability and occupational diseases of workers.
