Social and cultural status and role of the Internet in the modern society. pp. 4--11
Summary: On the basis of different philosophical methodological approaches the status and characteristics of Internet have been investigated as a new information technology. It has been noted that Internet is a multifold social and cultural phenomenon. During the explication of its essence the attention has been given both negative and positive aspects of the Internet functioning in society. From the point of view of the teleological approach aims of its creation and utilization have been shown. The influence of Internet to the level of personal-individual and social-historical existence has been analyzed through the prism of anthropological and socio-cen-trist approaches. The role of Internet for science in general and Belarusian science in particular has been considered in the article.

Main sources of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania military legislation in the XVI century. pp. 12--18
Summary: The role of the political transformation process in the constitution regulation of the Republic of Belarus in the middle of 1990 has been investigated. The authoress of the article has concluded that after the independence declaration of Belarus the cryptic political crisis arose not only from the heterogeneity of different political groups interests. The lack of the juridical exact differentiation of the authorities between branches of the power was one of this crisis sources, too.

ECONOMICS

Methods of current assets and sources of their reimbursement management on enterprises. pp. 19--27
Summary: The method of management by current assets and their funding sources has been developed in the article. This method allows to control all components of current assets and current liabilities simultaneously and to ensure the maximal efficiency of industrial and economic activity along with the acceptable solvency of enterprise. The change of current assets and current liabilities dependence of the time and control parameters of these processes has been determined. The financial result of the functioning current assets has been defined and complex criterion function for current assets management and their funding sources has been developed.

Service as an economical category. pp. 28--34
Summary: This article is dedicated to the research of several traits of "service" as a notion used by economical theory. According to existing in scientific literature ways of research and author's own analysis a conclusion was made about ineffectiveness of the attempts to make a definition of economical category "service" based on the service opposition to material welfare. The necessity of the transition to the development of definition having positive and also here is being proved the need of development of the positive matter valuable opened the rich content of the economical category "service".

Development of institutionalism in the Belarusian economy. pp. 35--41
Summary: The article offers an analysis of the current state of institutional economics in the Belarusian economic science. The author distinguishes main tendencies in the modern Belarusian institutional economics, analyses achievements of Belarusian scholars in this area, and gives an overview of Belarusian publications on institutionalism. The article could be recommended to scholars, economists and graduate or undergraduate students.

Summary: Soviet Belarus state policy with respect to the trade unions in 1954--1964 has been investigated in the article. The author analyses the place and role of trade unions in the public life.

Remuneration of labor for Belarusian peasantry. pp. 47--51
Summary: The article is devoted to problems of the wage improvement for collective-farmers in 1966--1975. The main achievements in economic development including its agricultural sector have made in that period the necessary possibilities for modernization of wage system for collective-farmers. The questions of development wage system are the main questions for study of the social and living conditions of Belarusian collective farmers.

Belarusian and Lithuanian insurrectionists of 1830-1831 return from emigration. pp. 52--59
Summary: This article bases on analysis of manuscripts from historical archives of Minsk, Hrodna, Vilnius and Warsaw. The amnesty and return from emigration has been shown here on example of the little group of insurrectionists of 1830--1831. Quantities of returnees, stages of their returning and their financial position have been investigated here.

Summary: On the basis of the historical, ethnographic and etymological analysis the new treatment of the most ancient sacral marks national decorative patterns so-called "a rhombus with hooks" has been submitted. The new hypothesis about genesis of names "Menesk" and "Belarus" has been offered.

Summary: The article deals with colour problems in Belarusian easel painting in the XX century. The typical peculiarities of the subject have been pointed out.

Summary: In the article the continuity of traditions and their influence on the creative and civil maturity of Minsk theatres have been traced on the base on the example of Belarusian classical dramatic art performances.

Summary: In the focus of attention of this article there is a period of the professional traditions formation in the branch of musical culture in Gomel (1917--1941). The picture of musical life in Gomel has been shown in context of the national musical culture taking into consideration regional peculiarities.

Summary: Such Belarusian author's works have been considered as "In the GPU claws" by F. Alekhnovich, "Confession" by L. Ge-niush, "Blind spot", "Blacklisting", "Such a blue snows" by S. Grakhovski, "Story for myself" by B. Mikoulich and "My Century. Oral Memoirs" by A. Vat. The subject of GULAG has brought to the autobiographical prose new aspects of human being problems investigation such as the existence between life and death, strained consciousness of individual in the closed space, lost personal integrity and unrealized personal ideal.

Reception of Belarusian poetry translations in the anglophone context. pp. 101--106
Summary: The paper deals with literary translations reception by various reading audiences. The example of English translations comprehension showed by bilingual Belarusian and native English speakers has been considered. The translation strategies of main Belarusian literature translators Vera Rich and Walter May representing the opposite translation approaches have been compared.

Written heritage of the historic Polotsk region: language and textology. pp. 112--117
Summary: The article is devoted to analysis of unexplored written language monuments hypothetically belonging to historic Polotsk region. Texts of three genres have been analyzed: gospels-aprakoses, hagiographies and business texts. Main relevant features have been determined to help localizing investigated texts more exactly.
